Welcome to www.rumo.co, a website and online service edited by SPIDEO (“we”, “our” or “us”). We respect the privacy of our users and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”), which describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use our www.rumo.co website (“Website” or “RUMO“), or when you subscribe to a service proposed on RUMO (“Services”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.

This Privacy Policy applies to the data collected by us, or those working on our behalf, through information you provide to us, or through automatic data collection technologies, such as cookies. It does not apply to data collected through offline means, or from other sites, products, or services not approved by us. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you of the characteristics of the personal data processing implemented by SPIDEO through the Website and the Services, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, and in particular the EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR“), and any national implementation law (thereafter the “Applicable Regulation“).

 

What does this Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy covers generally all the personal data processing activities we operate in relation with the Website and the Services, and concerns:

  1. all users who visit the Website; and
  2. the users who have opened a RUMO account (“Account“), whether or not they have subscribed to the Services, either on through a free trial offer, or through a paid offer (altogether the “Subscribers“).

Personal information may be information connected to you specifically, as the individual to whom the information relates. Such information may include name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, or any other information defined as personally identifiable information (or similar term) by the Applicable Regulation (collectively, “Personal Information”). Personal Information does not include your personally identifiable information that has been anonymized (“Anonymous Information”).

The various types of Personal Information that we collect from our users, as well as the purposes and legal bases of the processing we operate are further described below. We are not responsible for the practices of sites linked to from the Services, and you are advised to review their rules and policies before interacting with any of these sites or providing them with any private information.


Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about our users:

All the information collected is aggregated, and therefore anonymous. In particular, we use Hubspot to help us understand use of our Website.

Plug-ins may transfer information about you to the Plug-in’s respective platform without action by you. This information may include your platform user identification number, which website you are on, and more. Interacting with a Plug-in will transmit information directly to that Plug-in’s social network and that information may be visible by others on that platform. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Information:

  • As necessary to fulfil our legitimate interests, consisting in answering information requests, informing our users of updates on the Website, or sending newsletters or commercial offers:

Retention of Your Information

For all users: If you have not subscribed to the Services yet, but you registered to the newsletter, submitted a request for information, or opened an Account, we may use your Personal Information, including our email exchanges, for up to three (3) years following the end of your last contact with us. We may retain some information in intermediary archives for the applicable limitation durations.

The cookies and other tracking technologies we use pursuant to the present Privacy Policy are retained for a maximum duration of thirteen (13) months.

If you are a Subscriber: We will retain your Personal Information as long as you retain your Account on our Website. When you deactivate your Account, we will delete your Personal Information, except those that we need to retain further to our legal obligations (in particular in terms of accounting), or in order to protect and defend our rights in case of dispute, for the duration of applicable limitation periods. In this respect, we will retain your Personal Information in intermediary archives, with rights of access strictly limited on a need-to-know basis. If your account remains inactive for a period of two (2) years, we will contact you to ask you whether you want to keep your account, or whether you would like to delete it. If you do not respond within 48 hours, we will delete your account and your Personal Information.

For purposes of commercial prospection only, we may continue using your Personal Information for up to three (3) years following the end of your subscription.


How We Share Your Information

We will never rent or sell your Personal Information to others, other than as specified in the present Privacy Policy. We may share your Personal Information with our subcontractors, in particular our IT service providers (i.e. hosting, CRM…), as data processors, and with our external advisors (lawyers, accountants). We ensure that the contracts concluded with these third parties comply with the Applicable Regulation.

Anonymous Information: We may share Anonymous Information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns for certain Services.

 

Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All Personal Information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers (or those of our service providers) behind firewalls.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Website or Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You can also communicate instructions about the processing of your Personal Information in case of death.

You are informed that you may, at any time, and without reason, object to the processing of your Personal Information for the purposes of commercial prospection. Notification Procedures

It is our policy to provide notifications, whether such notifications are required by law or are for marketing or other business related purposes, to you via email notice, written or hard copy notice, or through conspicuous posting of such notice on our Website, as determined by us in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to determine the form and means of providing notifications to you, provided that you may opt out of certain means of notification as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
